Therapy for Men in Mississauga & Across Ontario
You’re Carrying the Weight. But You Don’t Have to Do It Alone.
If you’re feeling burned out, stuck in your own head, or constantly grinding just to stay afloat, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken. You’re just carrying a load men are rarely taught how to manage. I help men in Mississauga and across Ontario break free from anxiety, stress, relationship tension, and burnout using practical, evidence-based approaches. Together, we’ll move beyond just “getting through the day” and build a life that actually feels grounded and fulfilling.

Does any of this sound familiar?
You feel like you have to have it all together, but inside you’re constantly on edge or emotionally drained.
Overthinking keeps you up at night—replaying work decisions, conflict, or worst-case scenarios on repeat.
You’ve learned to bottle things up, but now it’s coming out as irritability, impatience, or withdrawal from people you care about.
You’re turning to distraction or habits (like scrolling, working non-stop, drinking, or pornography) just to take the edge off.
You’ve tried to “power through” or “fix it yourself”—and you’re frustrated that willpower alone isn’t working.
You want a straightforward, practical space to talk without feeling judged or patronized.
You don’t have to keep white-knuckling it through every day. Working with an experienced male therapist can give you the tools and clarity to take back control—and I can show you how.
About Terence To | MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist & Founder of Flowing Mind Therapy
I specialize in therapy for men because I know how hard it can be for men to reach out—and how much noise there is out there telling you to just "suck it up." As a male psychotherapist and counsellor, my goal is to provide a grounded, practical space where you don’t have to perform or pretend.
My approach is built on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)—focusing on action, practical skills, and real-world results rather than endless talking in circles. Clients I work with don’t just get temporary relief; they gain a clear understanding of their mindset and concrete strategy to navigate life, career, and relationships on their terms.
I offer in-person sessions in Mississauga and virtual men's counselling across Ontario. If you’re ready to stop surviving and start building, I’d love to connect.
How It Works
Step 1 — Free Consultation
(20 min)
We’ll have a brief, no-pressure phone or video call to talk about what you’re dealing with and what you’re looking for in a male therapist. I’ll share how I can help, and we’ll see if we’re a good fit, with no commitment required.
Step 2 — Your Personalized Plan
In our initial sessions, we’ll map out what’s driving your stress, anxiety, or burnout, and pinpoint what you actually want your life to look like. From there, we build a direct, personalized strategy tailored to you—not a generic script.
Step 3 — Start Making Real Progress
Session by session, you’ll master evidence-based tools (ACT & CBT) designed for real life, whether that’s at work, at home, and/or in your relationships. Most men begin seeing a noticeable shift in perspective and confidence within the first few sessions.
Ready to take the first step?
Anxiety rarely travels alone. If any of the following sounds familiar, I can help with those too.
-

Pornography Addiction
Caught in a cycle of use, guilt, and failed attempts to stop? You’re not weak — you’re stuck in a pattern that has real psychological roots. Therapy can help you understand what’s driving it and build a life that reflects your actual values.
-

Relationship Challenges
Recurring arguments. Feeling unseen or misunderstood. Not knowing how to say what you actually mean. Individual relationship therapy helps you understand your own patterns — so you can show up differently in the relationships that matter most.
-

Depression
Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. Sometimes it’s numbness, exhaustion, or a quiet sense that life has lost its colour. If you’ve been going through the motions but not really living, therapy can help you reconnect with what matters.
-

Anxiety
You know the thoughts probably aren’t rational — but that doesn’t make them stop. The overthinking, the dread, the constant bracing for something to go wrong. Learn how to break the cycle and actually feel at ease again.
-

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Intrusive thoughts. Checking. Reassurance-seeking. The temporary relief that never lasts. OCD keeps you trapped in loops — and willpower alone won’t break them. Learn how ERP and ACT can help you reclaim your life from OCD.
